Cisco Certified Voice Professional(CCVP) Exam Details :

Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) tests advance knowledge and skills required to integrate into underlying network architectures. Furthermore, this certification validates a robust set of skills in implementing, operating, configuring, and troubleshooting a converged IP network. 

With a CCVP certification, a network professional can help create a telephony solution that is transparent, scalable, and manageable. 

The CCVP curriculum focuses on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Unified CallManager), quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.

There are two paths that can be taken to achieve CCVP certification.

1. For individuals using Cisco Unified Communications Manager the following path towards certification is recommended:

642-446 CIPT1  Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 1
642-642 QoS Quality of Service

2. For individuals using Cisco Unified CallManager the following path towards certification is recommended:

The Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QOS) exam is one of the qualifying exams for the Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional, the Cisco Certified Voice Professional and the Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist certifications.

The exam will certify that the successful candidate has knowledge and skills necessary to configure and troubleshoot Cisco IOS routers running Quality of Service protocols in Service Provider and Enterprise environments. 

The exam covers topics on IP QoS, classification and marking Mechanisms, queuing mechanisms, traffic shaping and policing mechanisms, congestion avoidance mechanisms, link efficiency mechanisms, modular QoS command line interface, and QoS Best Practices.
