Check Point Certified Specialist - InterSpect NGX(CPCS-InterSpect) Exam Details:

Check Point offers certifications of two types,one is Security certifications and the other is Specialist certifications. 

Check Point InterSpect NGX is designed to provide experience with the Check Point InterSpect appliance. 

This certification covers SmartDefense, Web Intelligence and internal network security,  how to configure and manage InterSpect and identify common internal-network attacks. Also covers the protocols used with InterSpect, and will identify the levels of protection offered by InterSpect against vulnerabilities in these protocols.

The required exam to be taken is : 156-702

 

Exam Objectives(Brief):

  1. InterSpect models

  2. Troubleshooting basic hardware issues with the InterSpect appliance

  3. Set up and configuring  InterSpect using the CLI

  4. Protection Mode options

  5. Intrusion Detection,SmartDefense,Web Intelligence

  6. Internet Protocols

Exam Duration: 

Check Point exams are for a duration of 90 minutes for US, UK, S.A. and several other countries

Exam Format: 

Linear format as of now. The exams are composed of multiple choice and scenario questions.

Location: 

Check Point exams are offered through Pearson VUE in 3500 locations worldwide. Please check with Pearson VUE website for available in your country/location.

Price: 

Exams vary in price between US $150-$200.

Prior requirements: 

There are no prior requirements for taking the exam. But, candidates are expected to have 6 months to 1 year of experience in related field.

Exam Validity: 

All CCSEs earned on Check Point NG with Application Intelligence will remain current until the next major release of Check Point NGX.
