CCSE Plus NGX is one of the advanced certifications available.CCSE Plus NGX  builds on CCSA and CCSE NGX certifications, and validates in-depth technical expertise with Check Point VPN-1 NGX. 

Professionals with this certification possess all the skills of a CCSE NGX, and demonstrate extensive knowledge of VPN-1 NGX, network planning, route-based VPN, and troubleshooting procedures

 To obtain CCSE Plus NGX , three exams are  to be passed. They are:

1. 156-215.1
2. 156-315.1
3. 156-515

 

Exam Objectives (brief):

1. IP forwarding routing and connectivity 

2. Troubleshooting Secure Internal Communications and Internal Certificate Authority issues

3. Troubleshootin Network Address Translation (NAT) issues.

4. Using Log Commands,Tcpdump,Snoop 

5. Different stages in the folding process

6. Troubleshoot Security Server issues.

7. Debug Security Servers

8. Differences between route-based VPNs and domain-based VPNs

9. Troubleshoot ClusterXL problems

Exam Duration:

Check Point exams are for a duration of 90 minutes for US, UK, S.A. and several other countries

Exam Format:

Linear format as of now. The exams are composed of multiple choice and scenario questions.

Check Point exams are offered through Pearson VUE in 3500 locations worldwide. Please check with Pearson VUE website for available in your country/location.

Exams vary in price between US $150-$200.

Prior requirements:

There are no prior requirements for taking the exam. But, candidates are expected to have 6 months to 1 year of experience in related field.

Exam Validity:

All CCSEs earned on Check Point NG with Application Intelligence will remain current until the next major release of Check Point NGX.
