Exam Details

1. SAT Reasoning Test

SAT Reasoning Test measures skills in areas like Critical Reading, Mathematics, Writing and this test is 3 hrs 45 mins long and contains mainly multiple choice questions and a 25 min essay.

This test is commonly taken by high school seniors and juniors.

Each section of the SAT is scored on a scale of 200-800, with two writing subscores for multiple-choice questions and the essay.

Critical Reading Section

Time : 70 min (two 25 min sections and one 20 min section)

Content : Critical reading and sentence-level reading

Question Types : Reading comprehension, sentence completions, and paragraph-length critical reading

Score : 200-800

Mathematics Section

Time : 70 min (two 25 min sections and one 20 min section)

Content : Number and operations; algebra and functions; geometry; statistics, probability, and data analysis

Question Types : Five-choice multiple-choice questions and student-produced responses

Score : 200-800

Writing Section

Time : 60 min

Content : Grammar usage and word choice

Question Types : Multiple choice questions (35 min) and essay (25 min)

Score : 200-800

Fees for SAT Test is $45

2. SAT Subject Test

SAT Subject Test measures knowledge and skills in particular subjects such as English, History, Science etc and this test lasts for 1 hr and mostly contain multiple choice questions and question format may vary depending on the subject.

SAT Subject Test can be categorized into five subject areas

1. English - Literature

2. History - U.S History, World History

3. Mathematics - Mathematics Level 1 and Mathematics Level 2

4. Science - Biology E/M, Chemistry, Physics

5. Languages - Chinese with Listening, French, French with Listening, German, German with Listening, Spanish, Spanish with Listening, Modern Hebrew, Italian, Latin, Japanese with Listening, Korean with Listening
